1. SCIS: Starfleet Criminal Investigative Service. Or JAG in Space, I do not care. This could be a great way to show life in the Star Trek Universe outside of shipboard Duty on the frontier. You could set this in the timeline within the frame of existing stuff, or just past what has already happened when Voyager/DS9 ended.

2. Earthforce Academy: Set in the B5 Universe (or any other), this show would follow a group of cadets in the post “Rising Star” World. The new alliance is forming, and now a rehabilitated Earth, and her newest cadets, must make their way in this brave new world.

3. Option a strong, beloved space opera series as a HBO Type Series. Bujpld’s Vorkosigan Saga comes to mind, as does Weber’s Honorverse. Genre TV is alive and well, and will generate lots of hype, if done right, as GoT is showing right now,

4. So there is all this apocalyptic stuff out these days. But why doesn’t anybody explore the time after the direct apocalypse? Whenever I see Zombies, it is always on the “day it happened”. Can nobody be bothered to actually do some work and come up with interesting plotlines 20 or so years after? Wait, Mira Grant has in her excellent “Newsflesh” books, so someone go ahead and option these already! Do what Deadwood did so well, explore the concepts of community building, governance and civilization. If need be, add swearwords and nudity until HBO likes it.

So there it is. My first post. Months in the making and it just snapped into my head. Kind of werid. Let’s see if I can keep up a semblance of regular content production.
